Kyle Buc's tale shows dedication, dedication, and a tireless quest of fairness in the realm of consumer protection law. As a teacher, he exhibits career achievements with commitment, having co-founded the firm now known as Buc & Cus Company that now stands firmly among national leaders in consumer rights law.
Early Education and Motivation
Kyle was driven into the discipline of law with his bachelor's degree in Political Science at the University of Ohio, from which he earned his degree with honors. From early years, he displayed an inclination of justice and equality, through participating in debates and volunteering to give legal aid. Consequently, motivated by the manner in which the law could be a transformative force in people’s lives, he opted for a path where he could make a difference.
After earning his bachelor's degree, Kyle was admitted into the University of Ohio for the Law School. Law School focuses more on consumer rights and public interest law, where he worked. But it was during his time there that Kyle distinguished himself not only academically but also as an active member at the Legal Aid Clinic, offering pro bono services to clients that could not afford them.
Early Professional Experiences
Employed by a law firm known for its success in litigation in consumer protection, Kyle honed his career as a junior attorney in litigation covering the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). In Kyle’s career, this time produced cases with groundbreaking litigation that set precedents for consumer rights law. His commitment to the clients he defended and clever brainstorms on how to approach the legal strategy for each case resulted in countless victories, culminating in a landmark case which resulted in significant reforms for credit reporting practices.
The Birth of Buc & Cus Company
Although Kyle found great success in law, he felt a desire to start his own law firm where clients could receive service in a more consumer-oriented, family-firm sense. This vision led him to co-found Buc & Cus Company, alongside Emily Cus—a fellow attorney with like values and expertise that would be accommodated to establish a comprehensive practice in consumer rights law and with much outreach and impact. From the onset, Buc & Cus Company was created to be different. Kyle envisioned a firm that would not only advocate at the highest levels of litigation for consumers but would also work to educate and empower them about their rights.
Under Kyle’s guidance, the firm is fast rising to become a leader in consumer rights law, with a special focus on background check errors, FCRA, and FDCPA issues.
Legacy and Future Aspirations
Currently, Kyle still continues to lead by example, mentoring junior lawyers and advocating for legislative changes that protect consumers. The work of Kyle has not only brought justice to many a person but also contributed to broader societal awareness and reform. Looking to the future, Kyle’s devotion to the law and for consumer rights has not waned one iota. With several high-profile cases on the calendar and a roster of commitment to expand the reach and scope of his firm, he seems far from retiring. Kyle’s story is one of inspiration, a reminder of the power of law as an agent of good in society.

Italy’s cheap homes hot spot puts more up for sale

Dwindling Italian towns have been pulling out all the stops to lure new residents in recent years, with several one-euro home schemes launching across the country.
But while some towns have struggled to find buyers for their abandoned buildings, others have been basking in the glory of successful sales.

“We just want to make it clear that by numbering these batches, more sales will likely follow in coming years,” newly elected mayor Giuseppe Cacioppo tells CNN. “Foreigners are flocking to buy our homes, it’s been a hit so far.”
Cacioppo encourages potential buyers who are heading to the region to pay the town a visit and check out the 12 or so homes up for grabs this time.
“The timing is perfect,” he says. “Tourists and interested buyers currently traveling to Italy, and those planning a trip in spring and summer can come take a look.”
According to Cacioppo, the available homes, located in the old Saracen district, are as “structurally stable as those so far sold” but in need of a restyle.
Sambuca made global headlines back in 2019 when CNN announced that it was putting 16 dwellings up for sale for one euro. Two years later, the town offered up a second batch of homes for two euros.

The fire-sale, which lured international buyers as far as the Middle East, has helped to revamp the local economy with an influx of 20 million euros (around $21.8 million,) says Cacioppo.
This includes turnover from new B&Bs, new shops that have opened in the town and contracts with builders, architects, surveyors, interior designers and notaries.
“The two batches of houses, owned by the town hall, revitalized the private real estate sector. People rushing to grab one at auction but didn’t make the final cut bought a cheap house instead. So far, 250 homes have been sold,” says Cacioppo.
Sambuca’s triumphant efforts to sell off its empty homes are largely credited to the fact that the local authorities actually own the abandoned dwellings they hope to offload.
Other depopulated Italian towns, such as medieval village Patrica, located south of Rome, have attempted to launch similar schemes, but struggled to track down the former owners to gain permission to sell their empty homes.
